Summary: UPI Money Manager is a fully offline personal finance app. Your financial data never leaves your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal or financial information to any server.
1. Information We Access
To provide automatic transaction tracking, the app may request access to:
- SMS Messages (READ_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS): Used solely to parse banking transaction SMS on your device to auto-record spending. SMS content is processed locally and never uploaded.
- Notifications (NotificationListenerService): Used to capture transaction alerts from banking and UPI apps (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.) to auto-record spending. Notification content is processed locally and never uploaded.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to send you local spending summaries and budget alerts. These are generated entirely on-device.
2. Data Storage
- All transaction data, budgets, categories, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using a local database.
- No cloud sync, no remote database, no server-side storage.
- Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all your data.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers.
- We do not collect or transmit your bank account details, UPI IDs, or transaction history.
- We do not access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.
- We do not have any user accounts or login systems.
4. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads via your device's ad settings.
- Google Play Billing: Used for in-app purchases (ad removal). Purchase data is managed by Google Play and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Advertising
- The app displays banner advertisements via Google AdMob.
- AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve ads. This is managed by Google, not by us.
- You can reset or opt out of your advertising ID in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads.
- Users who add the home screen widget will see fewer ads within the app.
6. Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The app does not require account creation and stores all data locally on-device.

8. Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device, it is protected by your device's own security measures (screen lock, encryption). We recommend keeping your device secure with a PIN, pattern, or biometric lock.
9. Your Rights
- Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times.
- Deletion: You can delete individual transactions, or uninstall the app to remove all data permanently.
- Control: You can revoke SMS or notification permissions at any time via device settings. The app will continue to work with manual entry.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
